The Dangers of Skipping Breakfast
Because skipping meals is associated with numerous cardiovascular and metabolic risk factors such as excess body weight, elevated fasting lipid concentrations, insulin resistance and high blood pressure, researchers at the Harvard School of Public Health set out to determine whether specific eating habits were correlated with major health outcomes such as coronary heart disease independent of dietary composition.
